Your logo is bigger than your diya.
Every Diwali, brands download the same template, stretch the logo, add glitter, and wonder why the algorithm ghosted them. Here’s the hall of shame, with real numbers, and six wild ways out.
Five Diwali posts that fought the algorithm and lost.
The brands are made up. The templates aren’t. Neither are the numbers.
Your logo is bigger than the festival.
That’s how long people spent on a piece of content in Facebook’s mobile feed, on average. This brand spent every millisecond of it on a crest nobody asked to see.

Meta’s Andromeda system groups look-alike creatives and treats them as one idea. Swap the shop name all you like: to the algorithm, these nine brands posted one post, and it was nobody’s.
Real number · source: Meta Andromeda and creative diversification, explained (Jon Loomer), 2025A free-template watermark is a reach killer.
Instagram ranks original content first. It says adding a logo, border or watermark to someone else’s image doesn’t make it original, and recommendations go to the original creator instead. Your glitter stays in the family.

Facebook has explained that a typical feed has about 1,500 eligible posts a day and shows roughly 300. A seven-face flex banner, shrunk to a phone screen, is rarely one of the chosen 300.

India’s Central Consumer Protection Authority lists 13 dark patterns. The first one is “false urgency”: fake countdowns and “Only 2 left!” when there are 200. Customers learn to ignore you; regulators don’t.

She gave your post 1.7 seconds. Your discount highlight used all of them, like so many before it.

- wildness 🌶🌶🌶
Delete your logo. Then hide it.
Post a Diwali artwork with no logo in sight, and hide it somewhere in the rangoli. The first 50 people who find it and comment where get a mithai box.
↳ People zoom, search and comment. That’s dwell time the feed can measure. - wildness 🌶🌶🌶🌶
Turn your rangoli into a QR code.
Draw a giant rangoli outside your shop that is secretly a working QR code. Film it from above. Scanning it, from the street or from the reel, unlocks a Diwali surprise.
↳ A pattern that turns out to be a puzzle makes people pause, squint and pull out their phone. - wildness 🌶🌶🌶
Give your logo’s spot to the diya-maker.
In every Diwali post, replace your logo with the face, name and stall of the potter who made your diyas. Pay them for it, tag them, send customers to them.
↳ A real face with a real story beats a logo every time, and people share stories about people. - wildness 🌶🌶🌶🌶
One comment = one real diya.
Build a 10,001-diya rangoli in your town square. Every comment on your post lights one more, live-streamed until the whole thing is glowing.
↳ Comments stop being a metric and become fire people can see. - wildness 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶
Project your post onto 50 society walls.
On Diwali night, beam a 10-second film onto housing-society walls across the city. Your reel isn’t the ad; it’s 500 neighbours filming it.
↳ Other people’s phones become your media plan. - wildness 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶
Make your box become the lantern.
Design the Diwali box so it unfolds into an akash kandil. Customers hang it on their balcony, post it, and you repost the best-lit balconies in town.
↳ Your packaging lights up a thousand balconies, and every one of them is a post you didn’t pay for.
